Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and Qadrna that governs your use of the website and the platform. By using the service or creating an account, you accept them, together with the privacy policy and the policies referred to below. Please read them carefully.

The service

Qadrna is a platform that runs the journey to a marriage decision: verification, a marriage profile, a compatibility assessment, a limited number of weekly matches, and structured contact that starts only when both sides accept.

• Qadrna is not a party to any marriage, and does not guarantee a marriage or a compatible match.
• It does not give religious rulings or legal advice. Checking the conditions of a marriage and registering it under Islamic law and the applicable laws is the responsibility of the two parties and their families.
• We may develop the service or change its features, and will tell you about changes that affect your rights.

Eligibility

To use Qadrna you must:

• Be 18 or older.
• Be looking for a serious marriage between a man and a woman, not a casual relationship.
• Give accurate information about yourself, and disclose your marital status as it is.
• Not have had a previous account closed for a violation.

Qadrna is intended for Muslims seeking marriage, and may not be used where local law prohibits it.

Your account

• One account per person; it may not be shared or transferred.
• You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for all activity in your account. Tell us at once if you suspect unauthorised access.
• Your account is not shown to members until your phone and live selfie are verified and a human review is complete. We may ask you to change your profile, or reject it, if it breaks these terms or our policies.
• Changing your gender, date of birth or marital status requires a new review.

Honesty and marital status

Trust is the foundation of the service. Disclosing your marital status and any intention of polygamy is mandatory, and hiding a marriage or misrepresenting your status is a violation that leads to a ban. Details are in the marital status and polygamy policy.

Conduct and content

You must follow the content and conduct policy in your profile, photos and messages. You are responsible for what you post, and you give us a limited licence to use it only to run the service — showing it to the people you allow, reviewing it and keeping it under our policies — and for nothing else.

Contact and conversations

A conversation starts only after one side sends a contact request and the other accepts. We do not monitor messages in real time, but we keep them and review them when they are reported. Conversations follow the conduct rules, including limits on exchanging phone numbers and social media accounts at an early stage.

Subscriptions and payment

• Joining is free, and some features are paid. Prices and features are shown on the pricing page before you pay.
• Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe, and subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time in your account settings; renewal stops, and paid features remain available until the end of the period you paid for.
• If the price of your subscription changes, we will tell you before it renews at the new price.
• Refund requests are handled in line with the applicable law.

Suspension and termination

• By us: if you break these terms or our policies, we act in proportion to how serious it is: a warning, then a temporary suspension, then a ban, then deletion. Serious violations — such as use of the platform by a minor, extortion or threats — lead to an immediate ban.
• By you: you can delete your account at any time. It is hidden immediately, and its data is permanently deleted after 30 days, during which you can change your mind. Details are in the retention and deletion policy.

Intellectual property

The Qadrna name, logo, design and text belong to Qadrna. We give you a limited personal right to use the service under these terms. You may not copy the platform or its content, or collect members' data with automated tools.

Limitation of liability

• We provide the service as it is. We put serious effort into verification and review, but we cannot check everything members write about themselves, and we do not guarantee any member's behaviour.
• We are not responsible for what happens between members outside the platform. Take care: never send money to anyone, meet only in a public place with your family's knowledge, and report any suspicious behaviour to us.
• Our liability to you is limited to the extent permitted by the applicable law.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The date and version at the top of the page show the latest change, and we will tell you about significant changes before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after they take effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by and interpreted under the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the competent courts of the UAE have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
